The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday for all of southern New England.
The wind will be from the west at 25 to 35 mph, gusting to 60. Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines and widespread power failures are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for tall vehicles.
A storm warning has been issued along the coast from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday. Waves of 2 to 4 feet are predicted in Narragansett Bay and 2 feet in Boston Harbor.
Bitterly cold weather will move in Tuesday night and continue on Wednesday. A storm is possible on Saturday.
