SANFORD, Fla. (WPEC) — Detectives near Orlando say they’re investigating a murder-suicide involving a mother and two children that spans two scenes.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office reported that Friday evening, deputies got calls from drivers saying they saw a woman get out of the passenger side of a car, parked on a bridge, and jump into a lake.
Deputies arrived to find the woman’s body floating in the water. They recovered her remains with help from nearby boaters.
She was later identified as Catorreia Hutto, 31, of Sanford.
After learning the woman’s identity, deputies discovered she had 5-year-old twins who were not in the car, or in the water.
Deputies rushed to her home and found the bodies of her children, Ahmad and Ava Jackson. The manner of their deaths is unknown at this time, but authorities said there were no apparent signs of trauma.
