The Probability of Avalanches on The Roads of Tajikistan Remains



The Committee for Emergency Situations of Tajikistan urges the population to refrain from trips, trips to dangerous areas, to be vigilant and careful due to the high probability of the danger of snow avalanches, mudflows, rockfalls.

With reference to the country’s weather forecasters, the CoES reports that avalanches and rockfalls are possible for several days on the sections of the Dushanbe-Khujand, Dushanbe-Rasht, Dushanbe-Sangvor, Dushanbe-Lyakhsh, Kulyab-Darvaz, Vanj-Khorog, Khorog-Ishkashim, Khorog- Murgab.

“In order to ensure the safety of drivers on mountain roads and provide them with emergency assistance in emergency situations, different sections are regularly patrolled by rescue teams of the Committee’s rapid response,” the department said.

The CoES urges the population to refrain from moving through mountain passes, avalanche areas, as well as refuse to collect firewood, graze livestock, go hunting and fishing.
